Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN HAINSTOCK CALDER Peacefully with family at his side, Alan passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on June 25, 2004 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of seven years, Willa in 1958. Alan is survived by his sister Enid Roberts and her family of Vancouver; brother John Calder and his family of Paradise Village; his companion, friend and special pet Ashley the Cat; many friends with the Breakfast Club in St. Vital; as well as other extended family and friends. Alan was born in Edmonton and raised in St. Vital, Winnipeg and received his education at Glenlawn Collegiate. He was an officer in the Canadian Army Reserve. Alan worked with the CNR as a Real Estate Representative and Appraiser until he retired in 1986. Following his retirement Alan enjoyed travelling, visiting with family and friends and other activities such as bowling, curling and swimming. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service.
