CAROLINE LOLA WOZNY Peacefully at home on Saturday, June 26, 2004, Lola passed away at the age of 77. Lola was predeceased by her parents, Albina and Lucas Szengera; in-laws, Stephen and Natalie Wozny. Lola was also predeceased by her husband Karl, sister Angie McEachern, sister-in-law Marion Banero and brother-in-law Vern Banero. She leaves to mourn, son Gerry (Diane) and grandchildren, Scott and Tracy; son Patrick (friend Lorraine) and her children, Lisette and Andre; sister Adelaide Haiko (William) brother-in-law Jim McEachern; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lola loved her flowers and garden at the family cottage in Falcon Lake. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and knitting for all who knew her. She was well known for her homemade cabbage rolls, peroshki and caramel popcorn. Lola enjoyed lively conversation, had a hearty laugh and quick wit. Lola was active with St. John Cantius Seniors (CPAC), especially bowling. Unfortunately, due to health problems, she had to refrain from club activities. She would also attend St. John Cantius Church when her health permitted. Mom had a strong work ethic and faith. She was dedicated to her husband and family, especially her grandchildren, who she cherished very much. Mom touched many peoples lives with her straight forwardness, humour, but above all, with her great love and compassion. We miss her so much already, but glad she is free from pain. She was a remarkable woman, and will be loved and remembered always. Mom...we love you and are grateful for everything. We would like to thank the Winnipeg Firefighters, Paramedics and Police Service for their professionalism under the difficult circumstances. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue with Rev. Fr. Ceas Chmiel, M.S.F. officiating. Service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lolas memory to the charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
