NELLIE KOROPAS After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Nellie passed away on Monday, June 28, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by both parents. Nellie leaves to celebrate her memory, husband Joe; sons, Randy (Sandy), Gary, Jason (Cassandra) sister Ann; brother Bill; three grandchildren, Scott, Nicole and Kaitlin; and numerous friends. Nellie was a loving mother and baba to her children and grandchildren. Birthdays were always an important event at the house, as she enjoyed cooking family dinners. She loved to volunteer at the church and served there faithfully. Seldom did she complain about her pain and always managed a smile for everyone. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to Dr. J. Lezak and Dr. G.E. Ullyot, the wonderful nurses on the 5th floor at Seven Oaks Hospital and the many friends who visited with her. Prayers will be held on Thursday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main St. with Very Rev. Henry Lakusta officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nellies memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, 1175 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
