LLOYD PAUL JOSEPH CARDINAL It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Lloyd Paul Joseph Cardinal on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Health Science Centre at the age of 71 years. Lloyd was born in Winnipeg on February 11, 1933 and was employed with Weststeel Rosco for 25 years, retiring in 1986 due to an accident. In his earlier years he enjoyed horse racing, the outdoors, was an avid sports fan of hockey, and loved fishing at Lac du Bonnet with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth and his children, Darlene (Gary), Derrick (Candace), Doris (Ken), Donna (Karl) and Darren (Daniella). There are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Rose Cardinal, brother Hubert and sister Florence. Viewing will take place on Monday, July 5, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel with Fr. Robert Bernardin officating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Karl Genaille, Gary Henderson, Ken Millitaire, Ernie Morrissette, Jamie Jolly and Charles Nolin. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Health Science Centre and the Dialysis Unit for all the care they provided. Aboriginal Funeral Chapel 724 Selkirk Ave. 586-7700.
