ARLENE HOPKINS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Hopkins, aged 48 years, on Monday, June 28, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Leaving to cherish her memory are her children, Shaun and Melanie; her mother Elsie Reske; and brothers, Leonard and Ernie, all of Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour with Rev. Don Reimer officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at the Green Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Arlenes memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9. I remember meeting Arlene, the first time is when I was told by Linda my wife, to go to her brothers house and stay there till I get back home, so I did. Here comes this lady asking me if I was Pat? I said yes, just waiting for my lady friend. She told me that Linda said if I saw you out side, to ask you to wait for her in side my house. Boy, what a way to meet. So sorry to see my friend Arlene go this way. She was a very nice person to Linda and I. If anybody wants to see me or talk to me my phone # is 204-421-3055.
