Archie is survived by his devoted wife Lillian; his daughter Heather McIntyre; his four sons, Archie (Elaine), Campbell (Lorraine), Ted (Susan), Hal (Kim) 10 grandchildren, Joanne Levasseur (Peter), David Levasseur (Danielle), Kim Leighton-McIntyre (Shane), Kevin Ivanans-McIntyre (Henriette), Leanne McIntyre (Jeff), Melanie McIntyre (Chris), Micheal McIntyre (Chassity), Stephen McIntyre (Robyn), Megan McIntyre, Bailey McIntyre; and five great-grandchildren. Archie was predeceased by his twin brother Jim and his sisters, Helen and June. Archie was born and raised in Winnipegs West End. In 1938, he began work as a cattleman at the St. Boniface Stockyards. It was there that he met the love of his life, Lillian Whyard. Archie and Lillian married in 1945 and raised their family in St. Vital. After 45 years at the stockyards, Archie settled easily into retirement. He enjoyed travelling and going to the horse races. Most of all, he enjoyed the companionship of his wife Lillian and spending time with his grandchildren and family. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Golden Links Lodge for their great care as well as for the compassion, kindness and friendship shown to our mother over this difficult year. Archies life will be celebrated at a private gathering of friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society.
