Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSIE LEOCHKO (nee POWOROSKI) January 1, 1932 - July 4, 2004 Peacefully on July 4, 2004 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Rosie passed away at the age of 72. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband Peter of 45 years of marriage; daughters, Cindy (Paul) Yarish, Angela (Ron) Price, Dale (Greg) Shupenia and grandchildren Wyatt, Morgan, Jesse, Dallas and Alexandria. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Nettie; sisters, Lena, Mary and Carrie; and brothers, Peter and Donnie. Rosie was born and raised in Malonton, MB. Mom and Dad moved to Meleb in 1965 where they farmed until her passing. Mom was famous for her cooking and she always had an open door policy. When people came to visit, you were always invited in for "coffee". Of course it would not only be coffee, it could be anything from goodies to a full course meal or even a perogy feast. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed be her family, her card playing friends and neighbours. The family is grateful for the wonderful care that mom received from the nursing staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital (5th Floor - Units 2 & 3). Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Pallbearers will be Elmer Chicheluk, George Crampton, Johnny Dudek, Ronnie Franz, Dave Guzda and Mike Zolinski. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosies memory may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
