Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICOLAS JOSEPH MARCYNIUK March 19, 1932 - July 5, 2004 Peacefully, on Monday, July 5, 2004, after a brief illness, Nick passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his wife Barbara; children, Wendy and Rodney; Barbaras children, Kevin, Heather and family; sister Pat in Ontario; mother-in-law Dorothy Haycock; as well as relatives and friends. Nick pursued many business ventures throughout his lifetime, latterly owning and operating Dakota Bakery for 37 plus years. He was a kind, loving gentleman who would lend a hand to anyone in need. Nick often could be heard saying, "When times are tough and friends are few, Dakota Bakery is the place for you!" He leaves a legacy of humour, forgiveness and a gentle loving acceptance of what life had to offer. In respect of Nicks wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Our family wishes to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their care, support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nicks memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
