GILBERT ROY GILLIS JENNER July 11, 1912 - July 4, 2004 It is with great sadness that the family of Gilbert Jenner announces his passing one week short of his 92nd birthday. Gilbert will be lovingly remembered by Pearl, his wife of 68 years; his daughters and their husbands, Sylvia and Norm Kolisnyk and Judy and George Mitchell; grandchildren, Doug (Colleen) and James Kolisnyk (Jewel), Kim McCormick (Craig) and Darren Mitchell (Shelly) and great-grandchildren, Allison, Megan, Emma and Nolan. Gilbert was born the fifth of six Jenner children, and the first to be born in Canada. He is also survived by his younger sister Doris Laing. In his work life Gilbert worked 42 years in delivery for Eatons. His retirement years were spent pursuing his passions; amateur movie making, exploring nature, and hours in the garden. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital (5B) for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3.
