ALLAN "WHITEY" CARLSON Peacefully on July 6, 2004 at Tuxedo Villa "Whitey" passed away. Whitey was predeceased by his wife Eleanor in 2000. He will be sadly missed by his children, Ron, Eric and his wife Trudy, Sheila and her husband Robert Mizak, Karen and her husband Max Rauber; grandchildren, Cody Carlson - Kim, Kelly, Rick (Joelle) and Jennifer Carlson - Jason (Iva), Kyle (Sonia) and Rob (Tanya) Mizak - Adrian and Kristan Rauber; great-grandchildren, Hailey Spence, Devin Schwab, Rylie Mizak and Makenzie Mizak. Allan worked at Paulin Chambers Co. Ltd. for 48 years starting as office boy and ending as general manager and Vice President of the company. Whitey was very active in numerous sports throughout his life and in particular basketball. He was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame as a player, coach, builder and referee. Whitey will be remembered for his kindness, generousity and caring. For all of us who were touched by "Whitey" we are fortunate, in return he was blessed by a great number of friends who he enjoyed throughout his life. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the caring staff at Tuxedo Villa. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow.
