Mom was predeceased by her father Edmund Lannoo and infant twins, Marcia and Maurice. Mom loved her cottage on Lake Manitoba and enjoyed shopping for treasures which she shared with all of us. She had many passions in life of which sports and games of chance were among her favourites. Many afternoons were spent at the kitchen table with a friend or family member and the well worn cribbage board. Mom lived for her family. She was a professional mother, always quick with a smile, a kind word and a helping hand. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital Oncology especially Dr. J. and Astrid. Also thanks to Jan Marie Graham Central Region Palliative Care Co-ordinator and Agnes Weidman and her staff at Starbuck Home Care for their excellent care which allowed Mom to remain at home as per her wishes. Thanks also to the staff on 3 East at Riverview for their kindness and support during Moms short stay. At Moms request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow.
