Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN KEVIN CRONIN AUGUST 25, 1959 - JULY 7, 2004 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of John Kevin Cronin. Kevin was predeceased by his father, John Henry and his mother Margaret Pauline. He leaves to mourn his passing his life companion, Scott McGhie; sister Cathie (Larry Licharson) brother-in-law Rob (Barb) McGhie; sister-in-law Denise (Noulan Bowker) nieces, Maggie and Megan; nephews Tom, Mike and Tyler. Kevin was born and raised in St. James and attended St. Ann School, St. James Collegiate and Red River College. He spent most of his working life in the hospitality industry with several major firms such as Hy's and the Delta Hotel and for the last six years, working with Scott at Singletons in a management capacity at head office. Kevin's true love was the stage and he enjoyed participating in many local productions such as The Quilt and sang on stage at the Centennial Concert Hall in many revues and presentations. Cremation and interment has taken place at Assumption Cemetery and a Memorial Reception will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Aids Shelter Foundation, in care of 100-280 Smith Street, R3C 1K2 or Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, R3L 0K6. So sad to hear about Kevin. He was a good friend in Jr high and Sr high. It did not surprise me to hear he continued with drama in his career after school. Such a loss.
