ANDREW YAKIMOW Mr. Andrew Yakimow, of Beausejour, MB entered into eternal rest at he Beausejour District Hospital, on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at the age of 91 years. Andrew is survived by his nephews, Ernie (Olive) Yakimow, Gordon (Silvia) Yakimow; nieces, Annette and husband Don Gordon and Rosemarie and husband Barry Klym; great-nieces Odette (Erik), Angie (Todd) and Erin; great-nephews Shea (Sara) and Jason; and sister-in-law Nellie Yakimow. Andrew was predeceased by his parents Alex and Annie and brother John. Andrew was born in Allegra, MB on March 6, 1913 to parents Alex and Annie (Semchuk). He grew up on the family farm and moved to Beausejour in 1975. Besides farming, Andrew worked at Monarch Wear, tree plantation and the Town of Beausejour. In 1978, Andrew enjoyed his retirement by being an active member at the Beau Head Senior Centre, as well as a dedicated parishioner of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour. (Family and friends may park at Super 8 Motel.) Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Taras Kowch presiding. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. His Pallbearers will be Ernie Yakimow, Barry Klym, Gordon Yakimow, Don Gordon, Walter Zdrill and Ken Navrot. The family wishes to express our appreciation to the Beausejour District Hospital Staff for their kindness and professional care during his hospital stay. Also for making his final weeks enjoyable and comfortable. Your compassion, professionalism and support was greatly appreciated. Also a special thanks to Dr. F. Zeiler and to family and friends for visits, prayers and support. Thank you to his angels on earth.
