SIDNEY HAMILTON Sidney Hamilton, born December 26, 1914, died suddenly on July 8, 2004 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 89 years. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn; children, Larry (Yvette) and Cheryl (Dave) grandchildren, Corinne (Andre) Sheri (John), Sean (Kathy), Clay (Jennie), Leah (John), Debbie (Apollo) and by his great-grandchildren, Breanna and Brysen. Sid worked for the CN Express until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, crossword puzzles and in later years, fishing with his grandson. A man of infinite kindness, Sid will be remembered for the quiet comfort that he conveyed to those around him. His family always enjoyed his sense of humour. Sid had a great zest for life that showed through by the way he cared for his family. Animals were also an important part of his life. Nature was lucky to have him. Dad will be greatly missed, especially by the love of his life, Ev. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway with the Rev. William Vincent officiating. Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service at Thomson "In the Park" Crematorium. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a reception at Thomson Funeral Home following the service.
