Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOTTO LOOK Oct. 15, 1931 - July 10, 2004 On Saturday, July 10, 2004 with courage and love of his family by his side, Otto died and returned to the presence of God. Da is survived by his loving wife Ida; and his children, son Greg, daughters, Violet (Jessica), Marie (Emily), Arlene (Barry), Fern (Darcy) his cousins in Canada, Gerhard Ernst (Family), Martha Look and sister, in Germany, Otto Ernst (Ella), Lotte Brinkman (Horst) and family. Last but not least his friends, Helmut, Egan, Arnold, Ed, Brian, Paul; and our neighbour Dennis. He was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Emma, his uncle Edward and in April of this year his younger brother Richard. Also his friend Jerry Cyback and our family dog Fritz. Da was born in Poland but was a German Citizen raised at the family home in Hamburg Germany. In 1953 at the age of 22 years Da decided to immigrate to Canada with his best friend Wolfgang Henke who predeceased him in 1986. Father settled in Winnipeg and in the tradition of old Hollywood movies met my mother in Chinatown. Da worked many jobs eventually retiring from Versatile Farm Equip. Co. after 20 years of service. Ive always felt Da missed his calling as a historian or political scientist because of his impressive knowledge of world affairs past and present. In his retirement he liked to repair household appliances, read, watch the B.B.C news and wax philosophical with his sharp biting sense of humour, ouch! Towards the end his congestive heart failure caused most organs to fail but even at this stage he displayed no despair only courage and acceptance. With his family holding him close and telling him how much we love him he shuddered and passed from this world to the next. Our family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of the Concordia Hospital for the care and attention they gave our father. We found nothing lacking. A special thank you to nurse Susan, Dr. Caners and Dr. Leopp. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. We love you and will think of you everyday till we meet again. God bless you Da, Your loving family. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
