WILLIAM (BILL) MacTAVISH 1914 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) MacTavish on July 8, 2004 at home at the age of 90 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emma; his son Dennis (Peggy) and his daughters, Donna (Dave), Carol, Sharon (Allan) and Terri. Also by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bill left home at the tender age of 11 and accomplished much in his life. Through hard work and determination, he became a Master Mechanic. Through the years he was employed at Fairbanks-Morse, CNR and finally Pine Ridge Golf Course. Even in retirement he kept busy repairing lawn mowers and doing carpentry. Bill was a wonderful husband and father and was known for his devotion and loyalty to family. He was a very well-liked, kind-hearted person who was always willing to help anyone. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Henderson Highway. Branch No. 215 with Rev. Edna Perry and Rev. Ted Nimik officiating. Interment will follow at Clarkleigh Cemetery. Our family would like to thank all the Home Care staff especially Jose and Cathy, the EMS Response Team and Concordia Hospital Emergency Department. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
