DR. DAVID PEARLMAN It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dr. David Pearlman. He passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Victoria General Hospital. David was born in Winnipeg on December 14, 1926. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Evelyn; by his three daughters and their husbands, Barb Norton and Doug Rheubottom, Shelley Pearlman and Walter Lazowski, and Harriet and Marve Kraut. He will also be greatly missed by his six loving grandchildren, Jolene, Adena, Jesse, Meka, Arielle and Ashley; as well as his brother Sydney and wife Francis; brother J.P. and wife Naomi; and sisters, Miriam and Esther; sister-in-law Karen Wise and husband Julius; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Silverman and Shelby Smordin. Davids life was rich and full. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his immense generosity and his strong values. His many roles included devoted husband for 51 years, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, highly respected doctor, and generous giver to the community. Dr. David Pearlman received his Certificate in Family Medicine in 1975 from the University of Alberta. He moved to Winnipeg where he took over Dr. Isaac Pearlmans practice. David became quickly known as a respected doctor, practicing medicine for over 50 years. He served as head of the Department of Family Medicine at the Misericordia Hospital, was on the Executive Committee for some years, and also served as secretary and President of the Misericordia. His many patients and medical colleagues will miss his diagnostic talents and his caring, personal approach. Davids failing health did not dampen his spirit. He continued to practice medicine until last year. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 12 at the Etz Chaim Synagogue.
