Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySANDRA (SANDY) DAOUST After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Sandy passed away on Friday, July 9, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are, her partner, Rosalyn Cooney; her parents, Beatrice and Benoit DAoust; sister Cathy Gosselin and husband Joe; brother Leonard; niece Chantal Santin and husband Dave; nephew Kristien; great-nephews, Jordan, Turner and Cale; sister-in-law Louise and daughter Lynn Cambly; as well as the Cooney family. Sandy was born in Thunder Bay, ON and attended Selkirk High School there. She left Thunder Bay as a young age to follow her dream to be a musician. Her love of music took her all across Canada. She settled in Winnipeg making her life with Rosalyn. Favourite pastimes were camping, fishing (her love of the outdoors), and her Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thank you to Jill Taylor-Brown, and the Metastatic Breast Cancer group, all of the women from whom she received love and support as well as their families, also thanks to Tracy and Dr. Daeninck, the chemotherapy nurses, and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for all of their extraordinary care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandys memory to Quality of Life Program or the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
