JOHN HAWRYSZKO It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Hawryszko at the Arborg Hospital on July 10, 2004. John was born February 2, 1918 in Ledwyn, MB on the Hawryszko homestead where he farmed and lived until he became ill. John was a very inventive person who worked hard all his life. He cut and hauled pulpwood, was a mechanic and carpenter. He was proud of his heritage and his well kept yard. John was predeceased by his wife Rose on April 7, 1998; his parents, Wazyl and Maria Hawryszko; his nephew Steve Sutyla; his niece Frances Sutyla; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Sutyla and Ben Holyk. John is survived by his sisters, Nellie Sutyla and Anne Holyk of Arborg; his nieces, Mary Willis (Bob), Linda Bardarson (Larry Bishop) and nephews, Leo Sutyla (Maryann), Paul Holyk (Shirley), Bennie Holyk (Loris) and their families; nephew Harry Bibb (Kitty). The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Dorothy, Lawrence and Greg Charney for their support and kindness before and during his illness. They also wish to extend their appreciation to the staff at the Arborg Hospital for their kindness and care during his hospital stay. Funeral service will be held in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery, Ledwyn, MB. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the St. Johns Cemetery c/o Box 432 Arborg, MB R0C 0A0 or the Arborg and District Hospital.
