Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINA MESTDAGH (nee MacDONALD) 1919 - 2004 On July 10, beloved wife of Alphonse (Kelly) died at Grace Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Christine; her son Donald (Susan) her two sisters, Jessie in Winnipeg and Carrie in Toronto; two grandchildren, Andrew and Charlene; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, George of Tacoma and Neil of Albequerque. Chris was born in Stornoway, Scotland on May 14, 1919 and came to Canada as an infant. She received her early education at St. Jean Convent. She was employed as a teacher in St. James for 26 years at Kirkfield Park and Britannia Schools prior to her retirement in 1978. She was dedicated to her profession and to her students. She was a devoted wife and mother, a good friend and neighbour. She loved bridge, dancing, and sports, and until ill health curtailed her activities, was an active member of her community. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her family would like to thank the staff at Grace General Hospital for their care and kindness. Cremation and interment have been carried out. In conformity with her wishes, no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., R3L 0K6.
