JANICE MAY SKINNER (nee IRONS) Peacefully on July 9, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Janice passed away. She is survived by her children, Sarah, Paul, and Russell; Sarahs husband, Ray and children, Robert and, soon to be born, Declan; Russells wife, Corinne and children, Sadie and Piper; her brother Peter and family and other relatives in England, as well as numerous friends. She is predeceased by her former husband, Keith; parents, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. She was born February 13, 1944 in London, England. She excelled in her studies and became a private secretary and stenographer before starting a family in 1966. In June 1973, they moved to Winnipeg, where, with great strength, she raised her children on her own. She pursued studies with continued excellence, volunteered in her childrens schools, and in 1979 was hired by St. Boniface Hospital where she worked until March 2004. She was a beloved and devoted mother and valued friend and co-worker. A funeral service will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. on Thursday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are graciously accepted; however, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
