Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN "NORM" WILLIAM TAYLOR Peacefully after a lengthy and fierce battle with numerous illnesses, on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Concordia Hospital, Norman Taylor, beloved husband of Helen, passed away at the age of 78 years, while surrounded by immediate family. Norman will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Helen; daughter Donna (Peter) Pusztay; son Douglas (Andrea) Taylor; and cherished grandson Gregory Taylor Pusztay. He is also survived by brother John Taylor; and sisters, Margaret (Harry) Dewar and Gwenyth (Vern) York; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Norman was predeceased by his father Louis John Taylor (1886 - 1944) and mother Emily (nee Pickering) Taylor (1887 - 1963) as well as beloved brother Gordon Taylor (1967). Norman was born April 27, 1926 in East Kildonan, Winnipeg. He was a Second World War veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 215. Norman worked for 44 years as a maintenance foreman for the Winnipeg School Division No. 1. Norman and Helen were married August 16, 1952. Norman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and colleagues. He loved spending time with family and socializing with his many friends. Norm loved and enjoyed all that life had to offer and will be missed far greater than words can express. Family would like to thank Dr. Peter Kuegle and the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care of Norman during his final days. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, at 2:00 p.m., with viewing one hour prior, in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Concordia Hospital, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8.
