Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID EDWARD (TED) SHORES May 27, 1911 - July 12, 2004 Following a short stay in the Victoria Hospital, David passed away at the age of 93 years. David was predeceased by his parents, David and Jessie Shores; his sister Kathleen (Kay) and a cousin in England. He spent his life in Winnipeg and was employed by Eatons as a sign painter for 50 years, until his retirement in 1976. During his time with Eatons, he spent six months of each year working on the Eatons Santa Claus Parade. He was a lifelong member of the Vintage Locomotive Society (Prairie Dog Central) and was the illustrator and photographer for their newsletter. He was also a member of the Red River Valley Live Steam Association for many years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 16 at St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave. Interment at St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Newsome, Bryan Harmer, Bob Harris, Jack Sine, Gordon Pilcher and Ralph Grant. Special thanks to the 5th floor nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital for their care of David.
