Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW AMAN ATEAH (ANDY) 1916 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aman, aged 88, on July 4, 2004 at the Duncan Memorial Hospital in Duncan, BC. He is survived by his wife Josephine; his sister Isabel and his brothers, Simon and Tom, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Albert; mother Isabel; his sister Ester and four brothers, Peter, Joe, Phillip and Willard. Aman was born on February 29, 1916 in Balsam Bay, MB. He grew up in the areas of Balsam Bay, Whitemouth and Victoria Beach, MB. He was very proud to have served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War earning various service medals and he was always eager to share stories about his many adventures. He then enjoyed many years working as a realtor in both Manitoba and British Columbia. Aman also worked on the local ferry between Thetis Island and Chemainus for a number of years. He and his wife Jo operated Overbury Resort on Thetis Island, BC until their retirement. They were always thrilled to have family and friends drop by for visits. Aman enjoyed hunting, curling, golfing and playing cards. A memorial service in celebration of Amans life will be held at St. Michaels Church in Victoria Beach, MB at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 with Rev. Fraser Muldrew officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Beach Cemetery. Aman had a great love for animals, particularly dogs, so those who wish may send a donation in his memory to any animal shelter or charity of their choice. THE ATEAH FAMILY
