PARASKA WOROSCHUK (nee PLECHY) It is with deep sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Paraska (Polly) Woroschuk on July 12, 2004, at the age of 98 years. Mom was born in Zhoda, MB, on October 21, 1905, to the late Panko and Dora Plechy. In Zhoda, she met and married Nicholas Woroschuk, and together they operated a farm. Following the sudden death of her husband in 1967, Mom moved to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her brothers, Metro, Nick and Steve Plechy; sisters, Mary Zacharuk, Ann Swaitkewich and Irene Laliberte. Mom is lovingly survived by her only son William and his wife Darlene; and by her two grandchildren, Claramae and Kevin Woroschuk. Numerous nieces and nephews also cherish her memory. Prayers will be offered on Sunday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m., also at Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Rev. Fr. Andrew Wach will preside. Interment will follow in Zhoda Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Woroschuk, Harvey Beck, Frank Hawryshko, Harry Hawryshko, Paul Rolski and Norm Cipuzak. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at the Fort Garry Care Centre for their care in looking after Mom.
