DONALD CHARLES MURRAY PECKOVER March 24, 1931 - July 16, 2004 Peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2004 Donald lost his battle with cancer. Though never losing his spirit or contagious smile. He is predeceased by his mother, Irene Warren and his loving wife, Helen Peckover (nee Marr). He has left to mourn his three children, Scott (Sandy) (Winnipeg), Kevin and Erin (Ontario). His grandchildren, Ashley, Taryn, Devon, Jaden, Amanda, T.J and Ashley and great-grandson Nickolas. Sisters, Andrienne and Joan; brothers, Andrew (all of Winnipeg) and Neil (British Columbia). Also many nephews and nieces. Donald was a loving husband and dedicated father. A hardworking man having served in the Air Force, was employed at Assiniboine Downs, Unicity Taxi and over 30 years with MTS. After retiring he moved to Rivers, MB where he drove a school bus until returning to Winnipeg. Becoming a member of John Osborne #1 Army Navy Airforce where he worked as a doorman for many years. Our family would like to thank the palliative care doctors and nurses at Riverview, St. Boniface Hospital, and Grace Hospice for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donalds memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. A celebration of Donalds life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26 at John Osborne#1 ANAF located at 300-1395 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Cremation has taken place with interment to follow at a later date.
