Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD ARTHUR GRAY December 18, 1923 - July 18, 2004 Dons family is sad to announce his sudden passing at the Victoria General Hospital after a brief illness. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Sally; sons, Bill (Karen), Don, Doug (Janet) and daughter Laura; grandchildren, Julie Pacin (Stefan), Madison, Paige and Laurel; and his sister Donna Mellon and family of London, ON. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda in 2002. Don had numerous relatives in Ontario for whose prayers and concerns we are grateful. Don was born in London, ON and moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1964 to become Director of the Central Region for Health and Welfare Canada, Food and Drug Protection Branch, from which he retired in 1983. He was a very knowledgeable man. All his life he had a great desire to learn and took every opportunity to try new things. Among his many interests were the Winnipeg Senior Citizens Amateur Radio Club (VE4 DAG), the restoration of antiques, stained glass artwork and sharing stories about lifes experiences. Don valued the friendship of all the residents of Southpark Estates since he and Sally moved there in 1997. The family wishes to thank the staff of "The Vic" for their kindness. A very special thank you to Fr. Patrick Morand and Fr. Carl Tarnopolski for their kind attention to Don. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg with viewing at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, R3T 2E8 or St. Maurice School, 1639 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, R3T 2G6.
