JOHN GURNICK It is with great sadness that our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John Gurnick of Rossburn, passed away peacefully at the Russell District Health Centre on July 18, 2004, after a courageous battle with Parkinsons, at the age of 87 years. John is survived by his wife Ann, of 59 years; son Lawrence of Rossburn; daughter Carol (Jon) Klagenberg of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Leila (Michael) Kohut, Mona Klagenberg (Grant Bell) of Winnipeg, their daughter Stephanie Bell; Treena Klagenberg of Winnipeg (friend Rob Person of Calgary). Also surviving is sister Margeret Benton of Logan Lake, BC, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rossburn. Prayers will be at the church Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Volodymyr Bashutskyy will officiate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Rossburn Personal Care Home, Rossburn, MB R0J 1V0. Raes Funeral Service of Shoal Lake and Erickson are in care of the arrangements. (204) 759-2160.
