ALLEN PETER PAUL ETHIER It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Allen Peter Paul Ethier of Ladysmith, BC on July 18, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Allen was born October 14, 1928 in Winnipeg. Allen is survived by his daughter Wendy Schaan, her husband Neil; his grandsons, Timothy and Christopher, all of Edmonton; his sister-in-law Evelyn Ethier of Nanaimo; his niece Maureen Hanson; and numerous cousins throughout Canada. He will also be missed by his special friends, Charlie and Helen Mercer; and all his bowling buddies and neighbours. Allen has led a very enjoyable life, from his young days fly-fishing at High Lake and playing beach volleyball at Winnipeg Beach, to his senior years tending to his bees, fruit trees, constructing his backyard pond and bowling with his friends. Wendy and Neil would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the tremendous kindness in this time and invite his friends and family to attend a celebration of Allens life at his home on Friday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.   • Years have gone by....I still miss you Uncle Allen. We have great memories of our visits to Surrey & Ladysmith. I know the 3 kids still look at photos of all the good times shared, the fun in the backyard, sitting on the deck, walking down the trails in the forest, the girls splashing in the stream we found by the bridge, and Brad still talks about walking to the Fire Hall.
