KEN R. WALSH After a courageous battle with COPD, Ken passed away on July 20, 2004 at Deer Lodge Centre. His memory will be cherished by loving wife of 49 years, Lillian and children, Barry (Wendy) granddaughter Katie; and Scott (Brenda). He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, several nieces and nephews and extended family in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba. Ken was born in Bathurst, NB on February 5, 1925 and grew up in Montreal. He served 25 years in the Armed Forces, including four years overseas in the Second World War, Korea and Egypt. Following his retirement from the military, he enjoyed 11 years with Scotiabank. Ken and Lillian spent 10 wonderful years in Mission BC and returned to Winnipeg in 1997. The past seven years, living at The Courts of St. James, have been very special to them. Ken loved to laugh and had a sense of humour which didnt diminish, even in his last hours. In keeping with Kens wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance.
