Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY REMPEL Mary Rempel of Niverville, MB passed away at the age of 86 years at the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital on July 19, 2004. Mary was born on November 8, 1917 in Hochfeld, MB. She married John K. Rempel on October 18, 1938 and they were blessed with 63 years of married life. Prior to moving to Paraguay in 1948, they lived in Silberfeld, MB. Upon returning to Canada in 1950, they settled in Niverville. Many people have been blessed by her gift of hospitality and caregiving. She took a keen interest in all her family - each one was made to feel equally special. She always strove for harmony and peace. John and Mary were founding members of Word of Life Mission Church and supporters of many other Christian ministries. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband John on August 10, 2002; by her parents, Jacob and Katherina Kehler; and sister Helen Neufeld. Left to cherish her memory are five children, Herman (Jeanne), Esther (Alvin) Brandt, both of Winnipeg, Danny (Marjorie) of Blumenort, Jake (Sue) of Sandy Hook, MB and Niel (Audrey) of Grimshaw, AB; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob (Tina) Kehler, Abe (Helen) Kehler; three sisters, Tina (Jacob) Stoesz, Nettie Hiebert and Anne Hiebert; two brothers-in-law, Ben (Evelyn) Rempel, Albert (Luella) Rempel; sisters-in-law, Jessie Friesen and Mary Friesen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach on Friday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. led by Rev. Bill Rempel. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Word of Life Mission Church in Niverville with Pastor Tassos Xanthopoulus officiating. Interment at Hespeler Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Marys memory may be made to the Word of Life Mission Church or to Continental Missions, 159 Cree Rd., Thompson, MB R8N 0C2 in support of Fred and Charlotte Evans.
