When Benta first hired me as an employee of Marion Esso back in 1996 I knew I had found a great employer. Benta had very strong work ethics and was loyal to all her employees and her customers. She treated everyone as family. Her disposition was sweet and friendly and she had a contagious laugh. It is such a great loss and I continue asking 'why'. She is truly missed by my brother and mother who knew her very well. Her generous spirit and trust will never be forgotten. The Esso station on Marion street has since been torn down and I personally believe that had Benta still been alive it would have remained to this day and her passion for her work and her devotion to all her employees and customers would have continued to be a very welcome service in our community as everyone will no doubt agree. Unfortunately this is not to be and ironically cannot be for without Benta there could never really be a Marion Esso, it just wouldn't be and has not been the same without her! We will never forget our Benta! - Posted by: Guy St. Cyr (employee and friend) on: Dec 19, 2011
