OLIVE (OLLIE) THERESA STASIUK (nee KULIKOWSKI) Peacefully, with her family at her side, Olive Theresa Stasiuk entered into Gods grace on July 21, 2004 after a battle with cancer at the age of 59 years. Ollie will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her best friend and husband Emil; her children, David (Nicole), Dan (Jen) and Deb (Derik) as well as two precious grandchildren, Reid and Ashyln. She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Fanny Kulikowski; and sister Marion (Minnie) Dalman. She also leaves to mourn her brother Adam (Evelyn) and brother-in-law Herb, along with numerous nieces, nephews and special friends she held close to her heart. Ollie will forever be remembered for her fun-loving, honest ways. Leading by example, she demonstrated how to respect others and to make light of a difficult situation through humour. She was a model for the meaning of compassion and empathy . Her limitless energy was an inspiration to us all and she always glowed with positivity. Final respects and goodbyes will begin with prayers on Sunday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services and Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, East Selkirk with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ollies honour to CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or to the East Selkirk Cemetery Fund, care of Stella Dubas.
