ISAYAS ZERU July 18, 1973 - July 14, 2004 Isayas Zeru, son of Mr. Habtemariam Zeru and Mrs. Zeharia Asfeha was born on July 18, 1973 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he attended his elementary and junior high. He moved to Asmara, Eritrea and completed his high school there. In 1998 Isayas left for South Africa where he lived for two years. He immigrated to Canada on October 17, 2000. Isayas died on July 14, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Canada. He was preceded by his father Mr. Habtemariam Zeru and mother Mrs. Zeharia Asfeha. On behalf of all his brothers, sisters, other family members and my self I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff on ward 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital, to all his friends, acquaintances and other persons who have visited, comforted and supported him during the time of his sickness. Special thanks to the members of the Eritrean and Ethiopian Communities, to the Holy Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Winnipeg, and other Canadians who have given me unconditional support since the time of my arrival from Sweden to look after my brother. I would also like to express my genuine gratitude for the donations that have now made possible to send Isayas body back home. Rest in Peace Isayas dear, we all love you!
