Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARLENE BLUNDERFIELD (nee JESTADT) Arlene passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the age of 66. She was born June 9, 1938 in Winnipeg, MB to John and Helen Jestadt and later married George Blunderfield on May 19, 1963. Living and moving across Canada, Arlene had many varied occupations until she finally settled in Vancouver in 1980, where Arlene was able to follow her passion and founded Arlenes Interiors in 1984. Twenty years later the business is still growing reflecting her strong personality and desire. Arlene participated in many different social activities and volunteer associations. Arlene had a heart transplant in June, 1998 and one of her major accomplishments was to paddle with the transplant team in the Dragon Boat Races. She was a fighter to the end and her sun set too early. She is survived by her mother Helen Jestadt; husband George; daughter Karen; son Russ; grandsons, Chris and Alex; brother Raymond (Leona) and two nephews and one niece. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Transplant Home, #9 - 5311 Lackner Cres., Richmond, BC V7E 6B7.
