THOMAS PETER BOLIANAZ September 13, 1937 - July 23, 2004 After a courageous fight with cancer, it is with unbearable sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle on July 23, 2004. Left with a lifetime of memories are his wife and best friend Bev; children, Mike (Susan), Dave (Irene), Deb (Rick), Phil (Chris), Ben (Shannon) grandchildren, Chandra, Danielle, Kris, Kaitlin, Erin and Amy. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother Danny (Jan), cousins and numerous friends. Tom was born and raised in Winnipeg. He attended Tec-Voc High School and went on to become an electrical contractor. In his early years he worked as an electrician for Winnipeg Supply and eventually started his own business, which took him to many northern locations where his time off was spent fishing. Tom was a snowbird and spent his winters down in Texas where he loved to spend his time in the Gulf of Mexico or sniffing out bargains at the local flea market. Tom wasnt happy unless he was doing something. He enjoyed gardening, wine making and stain glass work. His family could be found fighting over his homemade pickles, cabbage rolls and garlic sausage. Tom cherished his last few months at Winnipeg Beach where he could be found sitting in his lawn chair enjoying the company of family and friends, or supervising the work that needed to be done. The family would like to thank Shawn, Dr. Wong of St. Boniface Hospital and a special thanks to Cathy. Also we would like to thank the nursing staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and support. In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away, you suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, your spirit did not bend, but still you kept on fighting, until the very end. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you, And whispered, "Come to Me". So when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again. Memorial service will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway, Thursday, July 29 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
