HARRY MARLOW 1923 - 2004 Suddenly, on July 17, 2004, Harry Marlow passed away at his home on Longbow Lake with his wife Mary by his side. He was a devoted and loving husband during his 55 years of marriage to Mary. Harry was a dedicated and caring father and grandfather to daughter Gail (Ron Ushock) and Lauren; Doug (Elaine) and Sydney and Derek. Harry is fondly remembered by his sister Phyllis (Dick Jennings) and Laurel, Rick and Judy. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Edith Marlow and his brother Alfred. Along with many friends and family members he will be especially remembered by Susan and Beth. Harry was born in Winnipeg. He served in the Navy during the Second World War. He was a member of the St. James Legion #4 and the St. James Masonic Lodge #121. During his career he was a member of the Winnipeg Police Service for 34 years until his retirement as an Inspector in 1981. In his 23 years of retirement, Harry and Mary thoroughly enjoyed life together. They travelled the world and especially enjoyed many years of winters in Portugal, Spain and Australia. Their home throughout the warmer seasons was at Longbow Lake, the family cottage that they built together 44 years ago. Harry enjoyed all aspects of nature and shared this passion with his children and grandchildren. He was also a very experienced carpenter and set up a full workshop at the lake where he enjoyed hours working on projects. He passed on this legacy to his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Harry had an easy-going and generous nature that was enjoyed by many friends and family throughout his lifetime. Memories of Harry will be held in the hearts of us all and remembered fondly. A celebration of his life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (204-982-7550; near the Canadian Mint) on Monday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, P.O.
