She had reached the age of 91. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Thomas; parents Charles and Susan Foster; and brothers, George, Arthur, Alfred and John. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jack, Tom and Drew; and daughter Dale. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law Lillian and Bess Foster; along with many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was committed to raising her children and lived as a devoted wife and mother. She volunteered at the Riverview Health Centre Guild and for the A.C.W. at St. Albans Church. She also belonged to the Retired Peoples Club of the St. Vital Y.M.C.A. and loved spending time with her friends at the bridge club. Evelyns parents were members of the original St. Albans Church, which her father helped build, and at the time of her passing Evelyn was one of its oldest member. She was very spiritual and always found strength in her belief in Christ. Throughout her life, Evelyn employed an active mind, loving to engage her friends in conversation and ever willing to share her views. Her children will fondly remember the summer holidays spent at Victoria Beach with their mother, who loved picking blueberries, watching the birds and staying on the beach until sunset. We will miss you Mom. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Albans Church, Rathgar and Osbourne. Interment will follow.
