AMY LAUREN CHRISTIE May 11, 1982 - July 24, 2004 It is with incredible sorrow that we announce the passing of our youngest daughter Amy, at the age of 22. Memories of her short life will always be cherished by her parents, Joan and Neil; and her sister Colleen (Paul). After graduating from Vincent Massey Collegiate, Amy worked for a year and then returned to University, working part-time. She was an extremely talented young woman who wrote the most extraordinary poetry. To her pride and joy, many were published in VMC "Anthologies". Her family and friends will treasure this wonderful gift forever, as there were few people Amy ever met who she didnt write a poem about! Amys smile would light up an entire room. She loved to dance and "sing" and was a wiz at crossword puzzles. She could have become anything she chose, instead she became our angel. Amy will be sadly missed by her uncle Dennis, aunty Maureen and uncle Paul, uncle Kent and aunty Judy; and cousins, Mark, Trevor (Keri and Mitchell) Daniel, Jill and Paul. Our heartfelt love and thanks to our family, Amys and our friends and co-workers and our neighbours for their support and kindness, and special thanks to Ryan, and most recently to Dom and his wonderful family, for their care and love for Amy. She was blessed to have you all in her life. A celebration of Amys life will be held on Thursday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Interment will be at Green Acres, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to The Ladybug Foundation (for the homeless, the lost and the forgotten), in care of 18 Sanders Bay, Winnipeg, MB R3R 3W4.
