Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENJAMIN AARON SOKOLOFF Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Aaron Sokoloff, on Friday, July 23, 2004 in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his wife Rachel Browne; sons, Laurence and Edward and his wife Sandra Mendel; daughter Iris and her husband Douglas Harris; and two grandsons, Eli and Micah Sokoloff Harris. Ben was predeceased by both parents and four brothers, all of Philadelphia, PA. Ben is to be remembered as a humanitarian who gave of his time, skills and resources to many organizations whose goal it is to free political prisoners and advocate on their behalf and to support those in need. On Tuesday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m., Bens funeral service was held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Our family offers a special thank you to the staff of Grace Hospice, where Ben resided for the last six months of his life. Their exceptional care and compassion were greatly appreciated both by Ben and family members.
