MICHAEL (MIKE) TYNSKI On Friday, July 23, 2004, Mike peacefully passed away at Concordia Hospital after a brief struggle with cancer at the age of 81 years. Mikes memory will be cherished by his children, Mary Anne (Darryl), Shirley (Walter), Susan (Albert), Michael (Kim) and mother of his children Victoria. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Robert, Timothy, Erika, Wally J., Nicole, Stephanie, Christopher; his sisters, Minnie and Anne; brother Pete and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sadly missed by Julia and her children, Felix (Irene), Veronica, Brenda (Cliff) and Hilary. He was predeceased by his parents, Anne and John and brother Alex. Mike was born in Melrose, MB, raised in Cooks Creek and resided in Winnipeg. Dad worked for the C.N.R. for over 36 years, retired in 1987 and was an active member of the Plumbers and Fitters Union Local 254 for over 50 years. He was a life long member of Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society, where he had many friends. Dad was happiest gardening, fishing, playing bingo or cards with friends and enjoyed attending numerous family functions. The family would like to thank the staff of the Concordia Hospital, especially Cathy, for their kindness, caring and support during his brief illness. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Mikes memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 22-S Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg R3G 9Z9.
