Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET HELEN FISHER (nee CAMERON) Margaret Helen Fisher (nee Cameron), loving wife of the late John Fisher passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital July 26, 2004, with her daughters at her side. Margaret was born October 17, 1921 in Winnipeg, MB. Mom grew up in the west end living there most of her life. She attended John M.K. School, General Wolfe and Daniel Mac. She was a highland dancer competing and performing throughout Manitoba. She won many awards for her dancing. Mom was very proud of her Scottish heritage. Mom worked at Eatons. She volunteered at John M. King Home and School Association, Orioles Community Club and the United Way, when her children were growing up Mom made beautiful costumes for our dance recitals, also volunteered to make costumes for other children. Mom had many hockey team wind-up parties for teams that Dad coached. Our home is where the neighborhood children could be found. Mom was an avid bowler. She played piano by ear and could play any tune. Mom enjoyed music, dancing, all sports and playing cards. She enjoyed summers at Grand Beach, camping, travelling and going to London, ON to visit her son and his family. Mom was a member of No. 1 Legion Womens Auxiliary. She was a treasurer and helped with the poppy fund for many years. She had to resign due to her illness. She was made honorary president. Mom was predeceased by her father William Cameron, mother Jane Broughton (Cameron), stepfather James Broughton, her husband John (Jack) Fisher, brother Ian Cameron, sister Winnie Findlay, brother-in-law Norman Findlay. Left to cherish her memory is her son John Fisher, London; her daughters, Debbie (Dwight) Fakes and Kerrie (Donald) Mudry of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Cameron (Beverly) Fisher, Pamela Fisher, Dawn (Graeme) Gilbert, Michael Mudry, Leann Mudry and Dirck Fakes; her great-grandchildren, Jaymee and Brent Fisher, Julianna and Lucinda Gilbert; her sister Florence (Kenneth) McCormick; sister-in-law Eva Cameron; many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was a kind, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family. Mom had a great sense of humour and wit, it stayed with her even during her illness. Mom we all love you and thank you for all your love and support. You can have that dance with Dad. Rest in peace. We would like to thank the staff and residents at the Assinboine Links, also Home Care workers especially Val and Sara and 3rd floor at Grace Hospital for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place.
