During the Second World War, Victor joined the army and served overseas. On October 22, 1949, in Saskatoon, SK, he married Alice Eljoke. Dad worked for the Canadian National Railways from 1949 to 1983, moved around Saskatchewan and Manitoba and retired in The Pas, MB. Retired for just a brief time, he decided to return to work on a part-time basis. He didnt like to sit idle. Mom and Dad then moved to Saskatoon in July, 1997. They were very happy there, however, in 2001, they decided to move to Winnipeg to be closer to their family. They moved into Lindenwood Manor and enjoyed it immensely. Dads hobbies included playing cards; especially crib, he loved it when he could skunk his children; carpentry and spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed travelling and visiting with all their friends. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
