NIVEN MUNN Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Park Manor, Niven Munn passed away at the age of 91 years. Niven was born in Edmonton on August 31, 1912 to Hugh and Margaret McJanet. On completion of high school she attended Normal School and then taught in rural Alberta for several years. She married Nelson Munn on August 2, 1947 and moved to Winnipeg for five years then they lived in Kenora for 22 years before moving back to Winnipeg and eventual retirement. Niven was predeceased by her husband Nelson on January 13, 1982. She is survived by their three children, Mary (Bev) of Dryden, ON, Gordon (Darlene) of Cold Lake, AB and Garth of Winnipeg. Niven enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching sports on TV, going out for lunch with friends and family and playing games. She was a real whiz at trivia. The family wishes to thank all nurses and staff of Park Manor Personal Care Home for their kindness and support given to mother over the last five years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street.
