ROSE ROSALIA PERCHAK On Sunday July 25, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, MB, Rose Rosalia Perchak beloved companion of Clarence Favel passed away at the age of 86 years. Prayers will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Home on Thursday evening, July 29, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Bill Parrack officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Rose was born on August 31, 1917 daughter of John and Anna Andrushak near Riverton, MB. The family moved to Haywood, MB where she completed her education. In 1937 she married Frank Perchak. They farmed in the Grey Municipality where they raised their family of four children. In 1963 she moved to Winnipeg where she has since resided. Rose was an active member of the Ladies Group of St. Johns Layland church. She enjoyed the great outdoors, nature and especially animals. In her earlier years she was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed many seasons of hunting right up until she was 66 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing flowers and canning preserving the produce form her garden. Rose thoroughly enjoyed country western music and socializing with her friends at dances or over a game of bingo. Predeceased by her parents, her husband; Frank Perchak; one infant son, Billy Frank; one grandson, Daron; two brothers, Andrew and Tom Andrushak; and two sisters, Sophie Rowe and Jean Pertel; she leaves to mourn her passing her companion since 1964, Clarence; one son, Billy George (Pauline) of Portage; two daughters, Helen (Mike) Paplinski of Edmonton, Linda (Paul) Baudry of Montreal; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister; Kathleen Wiely of Edmonton, one sister-in-law; Rose of Brandon and several nieces, nephews and friends. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Roses name to the Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E. Portage la Prairie, MB. R1N 0K8.
