Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA PINNIGER (HRYNYK) Born in Caliento, MB April 25, 1917, peacefully and quietly passed away at Kildonan Personal Care Centre on July 25, 2004 with her family at her side. Predeceased by husbands, Henry Pinniger (1963) and Wally Kwiatkowski (1985) parents, Maria and Theodore; brothers, Nicholas, Richard, Nick, John, Phillip, Michael, Alexander and William; sisters, Doreen Rennick and Victoria Vaclav, and nephew Gordon Hayward. Survived by her children, daughter Irene Simmons (John Svensson) of Guelph, ON; son Edward (Kathleen) of Winnipeg, MB; sister Jean Hurd (Robert) of Las Vegas, NV and sister-in-law Dorothy Hrynyk of Thunder Bay, ON. "Special Mom" to Patrick Riordan of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Sandra, Cheryl, Heather and Gregory and eight great-grandchildren; beloved aunt of Dennis, Bev, Sandy, Barbara, Diane, Shirley, Gary, Judy, Patrick and Wayne and their families; many cousins, especially Doreen Shewchuk and family and the Zaporzan cousins, extended family of Lani, Arlene, Kirk and their families; special friends, Laurie Henderson, Edith and Pred Morgan, Bill Wallbridge. Mom always made you feel so welcome and special in her home. She had a heart of gold which she shared with her family and many friends. Mom had a beautiful smile and kind words for everyone and we all loved her famous line, "First one today!" Stella worked for 24 years at Perths Dry Cleaners in Winnipeg. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary General Sir Sam Steele Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Winnipeg. Mom suffered for several years from Parkinsons Disease. Her courage and determination saw her through many painful and exhausting experiences with this disease. For the past 10 years, Mom resided at Kildonan Personal Care Centre where she was lovingly cared for by all its staff. Very special thanks from the hearts of Stellas family for their wonderful and generous caring ways given to our Mother. You will be missed by us all. Rest in Peace, Mom. Cremation by Cropo Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 17 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre, 1970 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Stella, to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 302 - 171 Donald St., Winnipeg or to the Kildonan Personal Care Centre, 1970 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg or the charity of your choice.
