MARY DELHIA ARKINSON January 7, 1942 - July 26, 2004 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a very proud and courageous lady. Fighting a battle for many years with diabetes Mom succumbed to her short fight with lung cancer diagnosed in June. The proudest accomplishments were graduating as an addictions counsellor and raising many foster children including her grandchildren. Mom so deeply loved her family and how we will all be lost without her. At Christmas everyone was welcome to come and enjoy the wonderful feast she would prepare never turning away anyone. Mom would adopt every stray dog that would wander into her yard, getting quite a collection over the years. Mom was a kind and gentle person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Left behind are the love of her life Wally Sinclair; daughters, Agnes (Brad), Elsa (Carl), Marliese, Darlene; her sons, Karl, Franz, Maurice (Maggie), Camille (Desiree) and her grandchildren, Joey (Sandy), C.J., Carly Cody, Shania, Gerry, Michael, Kaylee, Caroline, Mandy, Jerod, Wesley, Agnes, Beverley, Dezre and Josh; special goddaughter Darlene; sisters, Eva, Grace (Joe), Linda; also many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to mention; as well as the Sinclair family. Mom was predeceased by and infant son, both parents, four brothers and three sisters. A Ceremonial fire will start on July 26 to guide her gentle soul onto the Spirit World. Wake will be held at the home of Darlene and Lloyd, House No. 10 South Shore. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. from the Christ Church Anglican, Ft. Alexander, MB with Rev. Nancy and Rev. Richard Bruyere officiating. Pallbearers will be her four grandsons C.J., Gerry, Joey, Michael, nephew Nathaniel and family friend Joey Strongquill. "If there is some good that I can do, let me do it now for I will not pass this way again." Author unknown RUSSELLS of Beausejour, Manitoba are in care of arrangements.
