DOROTHY MAY COWTON (nee ROOT) 1911 - 2004 Quietly at Riverview Health Centre on June 25, 2004. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, William (1988), her sister Emily Huxley (Frank), brother Laverne Root (Martha), sister Myrtle Sutherland (Art). Dorothy is survived by a number of nephews and nieces located in Canada and the United States. Dorothy was born and educated in Emerson, MB. She joined the RCAF (Dental Corps) and served during the Second World War. Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, Winnipeg Unit. A graveside Committal Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Friends and family are asked to gather at the Funeral Home at 2:45 p.m. Reception to follow.
