Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE KOSOWAN (nee FEECHUK) December 11, 1910 - July 27, 2004 It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved mother, Pauline Kosowan (nee Feechuk) on July 27, 2004 at the Vita Hospital. She will be mourned and sadly missed by her four sons and one daughter, Tony (Mary), George, Harry, Bill (Joan) and Bernice (Albert) Saltel; their families which include 16 grand-children, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother Mike (Mary) Feechuk; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John G. Kosowan in October 1989; one son David, in infancy; parents, Bill and Pearl Feechuk; and two brothers and four sisters. In May 1931, Mom (Baba) married John Kosowan, or Geed as we knew him and they settled on a small farm near Gardenton. Those early days were times of extreme poverty for Baba and Geed and the two second generation pioneers endured many hardships together. In her earlier years, Baba loved to embroider, make wool quilts and feather pillows for herself as well as her family. When the occasion permitted, she loved to sing and dance. She enjoyed cooking. Her perogies, cabbage rolls and meat balls were always so delicious and she always made plenty of them so that she could pass some home with us whenever we visited. Baba always loved to laugh and she never lost her sense of humour, even when she was gravely ill. She was a loving, caring and extremely generous woman. With the help of her family and her home care workers, she was able to live her entire life at the place that she loved best, her own home. Everyone who knew her, knew about her love of flowers. When you visited her place, you were in awe of her numerous flower beds and her beautiful park like yard. With the aid of a walker, she was still able to tend to her flowers as late as last year, at the age of 92. Aside from her family, those flowers were her pride and joy. The family wishes to thank the doctors and the staff at the Vita hospital for the great care she received there. Also a huge "Thank you" to her home care "family", who over the last six and a half years took such wonderful care of her. Pallbearers will be Jim, Wayne, and Dean Kosowan, Jason Dykun, Eleanor Tkachuk and Sandra Witnicki. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church (South) of Gardenton, with burial at Parish Cemetery. Prayer service will be held Saturday, July 31 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. LOEWEN FUNERAL CHAPEL 5 Chrysler Gate Steinbach, MB (204) 326-1351
