Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANNY DOUGLAS ANDERSON Danny Douglas Anderson passed away, following a brief illness of cancer, on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, at the age of 60 years. Danny was born on January 17, 1944 at Eastend, SK. He grew up on the farm at Enchant, AB. Later, following high school, he spent many years working on ranches in Southern Alberta and travelling with the midway carnivals in Canada and the U.S.A. He later settled in Winnipeg, working in maintenance for property rentals. He cherished Rock N Roll and Country music and playing his guitar. Danny was a very special person who has left a multitude of lasting memories with those whom he touched. Danny leaves to mourn his loss, his loving spouse Pelagie Thomas Anderson of Winnipeg and his four stepdaughters, Gail, Rornna, Kathy and Lisa; and four stepsons, Alex, Paul, Roddy and Ovide; and 38 stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. He is survived also by his mother Madeline Severtson, Red Deer, AB; his daughter Sheryl (Shane) King and her children, Edmonton, AB; his sister Dearla Bakke, Red Deer, AB and her children and grandchildren; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in Alberta and Saskatchewan and numerous friends. Danny was predeceased by his father Dougald Anderson; stepfather Palmer Severtson; brother-in-law Gus Bakke and grandparents. Also predeceased by stepdaughter Karen Thomas; stepgrandson Randy Thomas and stepgreat-grandson Mathew McDonad. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Dannys life on Friday, July 30 at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg at 10:00 a.m. The Pastor Dietrich Desmarais officiating. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will be held at Enchant, AB. The families wish to express their appreciation for the excellent care and compassion Danny received from the doctors and nursing staff at the Health Sciences Centre, D4.
